Following a non-fault accident your optional CoverGirl legal expenses insurance can help you get your car repaired.
Provided we have car insurance details of the person responsible for the accident and provided their insurance company admits liability, we can usually arrange for your car to be repaired with no charge to yourself (excepting any applicable excess).
How it works
We will arrange for an independent vehicle engineer to inspect your car and produce an estimate for repairs. Provided your car isn’t beyond economical repair (ie: an insurance write-off), your car can then be booked in for repairs. We will usually be able to arrange for a replacement car whilst yours is off the road. See Getting a replacement car for more details…
If your car is deemed a write-off by the vehicle engineer, a pre-accident value will be put on the car and once you have agreed this figure, you will receive a cheque for this amount from the other person’s insurance company, to enable you to replace your car.
