Car sales talk - part 1

• Agreed mileage: This is the maximum mileage that you are allowed to drive your car during a finance contract. The lower the mileage the lower the cost. The disadvantage is that you will incur big penalties if you exceed it

• APR: This stands for the Annual Percentage Rate and includes the interest and charges you will pay on your finance agreement. Look for a low APR as it will cost you less

• ASU: When you take out a finance deal on a car you will normally be offered Accident, Sickness and Unemployment insurance which will cover the cost of monthly payments if you come into financial difficulty because of a loss of income
