A recent survey has found that it costs an average of £5,000 a year to keep a new car on the road. Research by the RAC shows a large proportion of the figure is due to the rise in petrol prices over the last 12 months, pushing the typical fuel bill up to £1,154.
It has also been revealed that depreciation is hitting motorists harder than ever, with the average driver losing £38 a week- that’s nearly £2000 a year.
But it’s not all bad news for women, car insurance prices have dropped slightly, and with the increasing amount of motor insurance policies that are available, there’s still going to be some money left over for the more important things in life.
Increasing competition caused by the arrival of a number of new online cheap car insurance firms means that you’ve no longer got to suffer because of the terrible driving habits of men, who, as you probably already know, are responsible for 85% of deaths on Britain’s roads.
Car insurance for women is becoming cheaper all the time, and as Craig Handy, spokesman for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, says, “It really does pay to buy your motor insurance policy from a company that specialises in cheap car insurance for women, and like us, offers special discounts and perks to female drivers.”
