A hairdresser from Wiltshire has been given a two year ban after admitting to driving whilst nearly three times over the drinking limit.
Gail Downham, 37, could find it difficult to get cheap woman car insurance in the future after she was given a two year driving ban at Kennet Magistrates' Court in Devizes on 29th August.
The female driver had been at a wedding reception and was waiting for her husband to drive her home but was unable to find him.
She tried to call for a taxi but was unsuccessful and so decided to drive her own car.
Police caught up with Mrs Downham after it was reported that a vehicle drove into the back of a parked car on Caen Hill.
Mrs Downham claims she does not have any recollection of the collision but admitted to drinking and driving and was fined £600 with £50 costs.
In the future, she may find it difficult to get cheap ladies motor insurance and will have to shop around for the cheapest motor insurance quote offered by woman car insurance providers.
