The AA British Insurance Premium Index has shown that over the last 12 months car insurance premiums have fallen. The Index showed that the cost of comprehensive car insurance cover is slightly higher than 12 months ago, but lower than it was in April 2003, insurance for third party fire and theft rose by 3%.
However, the average comprehensive car insurance premium fell by £3.18 to £762.28 in the last three months of 2005, over the year as a whole they rose £6.46.
The managing director of AA Insurance has expressed concern however that the reasonably static price of insurance, whether that is car insurance or home insurance, may result in an upward swing in the cost of car insurance later in the year.
The best bet to get cheap car insurance for women is still to shop around for the lowest rate. There are lots of bargains available if you spend time looking around on the net.
