For a woman, getting a cheap motor insurance quote is just one of the many things to think about in daily life. Shopping, nightlife and safety are all important matters too, not to mention employment.
A study has been carried out by The Future Laboratory to find out just where is the best place to live in the UK for a woman who is after all these things and more.
2,500 young women were asked to rate their city on topics such as the number of clubs and pubs, if it is environmentally friendly, whether there were lots of places of culture and how good the shopping and parking facilities are.
The research also looked at police reports on levels of crime, Healthcare Commission information about the standards of hospitals, and the cost of motor insurance quotes for women.
A list of the best 20 cities for ladies was compiled by the researchers. Leeds came out top and was closely followed by Birmingham and Edinburgh, whilst London, Liverpool and Manchester were further down the list.
