Research shows that men ask for directions as often as women
New research by the Automobile Club of Southern California has shown that men are just as likely to ask for directions as women. This quells the common misconception about men refusing to ask the way for fear of looking stupid. The study shows that men get lost and ask for directions just as much as women The reason that many people might believe that men don’t ask for directions because when couples go out together 78 percent of the time men tend to be the drivers.
The statistics showed that men who were lost stopped to ask for directions 34 percent of the time and women asked 37 percent of the time. These figures are too close to show a difference in the genders.
Whilst it seems that men are just as likely to get lost as women there are statistics that show men are more likely to make a high value car insurance claim. Women can get better deals on their car insurance because they are less likely to be involved in a serious accident.
