It's taken ten years for car manufacturers to produce a street-wise alternative to the chic and funky Ford Ka, but now one has finally arrived, and cool is something of an understatement.

Citroen's delicious new C1 simply oozes class; a proper little beast to be proud of. It's got a top speed of nearly 100mph, and with a motor insurance rating of only group one, cheap car insurance is extrememly likely.

Starting at only £6,595 on the road, the C1 is the perfect car for the fashion-conscious modern girl. It comes in a choice of über-fab colours and there's loads of boot space to squeeze in your shopping bags. It's nippy around town but can hold it's own on the motorway too, and a one-litre engine means it doesn't guzzle petrol.

There's something about the C1's under-the-bonnet-tackle that makes it sound simply fabulous, darling, and you get the feel you're driving a Ferrari or a Porsche instead of a French-made supermini. It's roomy inside, so there's no problem packing all your friends in for a girly weekend away, and you can get air con, metallic paint and a whole range of other little add-ons too.

A bargain to buy in the first place, and an economically-aware delicate sipper of petrol, its group one motor insurance rating means that if you buy your cover from a firm that specialise in car insurance for women, this is likely to be one of the most reasonable get-arounds that you'll ever splash your cash on.
