Women drivers see the appeal of motorcycles to beat rush hour traffic

A new survey by Bennetts car insurance shows that women are becoming more interested in motorbikes as an alternative to being stuck in the rush hour traffic. Two thirds of women asked would consider riding a motorbike to work if it meant they could get there quicker. Only 1.5 percent of those that took part said that motorbikes were just for men.

It is encouraging to see that the perception of motorcycling is changing and the old images of Hells Angels or that motor biking is a male dominated domain, are fading. Lots of women choose motorcycling as a hobby or as their main method of transport and there is no longer a stigma attached to this.
