New figures released by the Government have threatened to damage the fantastic deals that are available on women's car insurance.
Statistics claim that 457,451 motorists were the victims of vandals and petty thieves in 2005 alone. There’s really not much you can do to protect your car from vandals and mindless thugs who pick on your car for no reason, but you can take measures to protect it from thieves.
A vast majority of the reported robberies were spontaneous crimes by eagle-eyed thieves who saw something left in the car and made a grab for it. Handbags, mobiles and laptops all go missing in this way.
So to protect your belongings, and indeed your cheap car insurance policy, police are warning car owners to keep items well-hidden and ensure that doors are locked when you leave the vehicle.
Experts have warned that the government figure falls way short of the actual number of offences committed, and some have gone as far as to suggest that nearly one and a half million people were actually car crime victims in 2005.
But they have revealed that many of these crimes go undeclared because drivers fear that their car insurance premium will suffer if they report them.
So girls, it seems that the only way of keeping that women's car insurance price fantastically low is to keep that handbag hidden and that door locked. Just think of what you can buy with all the money you save!
