An American woman in labour crashed her vehicle driving herself to hospital, giving birth to a baby girl in the wreck of the car.
For a woman, car insurance is usually cheaper than it is for men because they know how to remain calm under pressure, which is exactly what Kenyetta Biggs did when she crashed and gave birth in the mangled wreckage.
The 21-year-old was driving herself to hospital when a strong contraction forced her to lose control of the car on Sunday 11th August.
The mother and baby spent an hour in the car before being found by Stephen Maxwell, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputy, who saw a head poking through tall grass along the canal bank.
Stephen found Ms Biggs trying to get out of the car and was told by her that there was a baby inside.
He said, "As I looked around her I saw the newborn baby laying in the passenger seat with the placenta and umbilical cord still attached."
The mother and the newborn baby, named Myracle, were taken to hospital and are reportedly doing well.
In the future, Ms Biggs could have to pay more for her female motor insurance if she was to make a claim for the road accident.
A spokeswoman for Cover Girl Car Insurance Services, the expert woman car insurance provider said, "Ms Biggs coped with the situation calmly and with control, which demonstrated why female drivers can pay cheap car insurance prices compared to men."
