Women car insurance customers would make excellent bus drivers

It was seen as full-time man's job. Now, with the introduction of part-time contracts and flexible hours, this has definitely changed."

The 1970s view of women working as bus drivers was depicted in the 1971 comedy movie On The Buses. In the film, women drivers were employed to ease staff shortages at the bus deport and one of the main characters, Stan, was worried that his overtime would be taken away from him - something that may have worried many real-life drivers as overtime made up a big percentage of their wages.
