Isetta
This little car was a major success for BMW following World War Two and showed that they could cater for the market of the time. With motorists wanting to make inexpensive, short distance journeys by car, it's no wonder that so many people around the globe took to the design of the Isetta.

Although the BMW car was designed in Italy, it was produced in several countries including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Germany and Britain. It had many different nick-names around the world because of its small, round shape; in Germany it was called ‘the rolling egg', whereas in France it was called ‘yogurt pot'.

BMW M1
The BMW M1 Series has remained a popular choice for anybody wanting a sporty model from the BMW classic range. Released in 1978, BMW asked the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini to build a racing car and the result was the BMW M1. Just 456 models were ever made, making it a real rarity to see on the UK roads. Productions of the M1 ceased in 1981 but it remains to play an important role the history of motor racing and in 2004, Sports Car International named the BMW M1 as number ten in their ultimate list of sports vehicle from the 1970s.

This car has been manufactured since 1975 and it continues to impress all BMW enthusiasts around the world. As the successor the 2002 coupe, the 3 Series has become one of the most recognised models in the world, winning prestigious awards for its contribution to the motoring industry.

Maintaining BMW's racing history, the 3 Series has also been named as one of the best selling foreign luxury sedans in the United States with 98,000 vehicles leaving the forecourts in 2005.
