A Cambridgeshire woman wrecked her chances of getting a cheap car insurance quote after flipping her car and writing it off in September 2006.
Huntingdon Magistrates' Court heard how 25-year-old Stacy Smith crashed her Rover on the way home to Grafham after rowing with her partner. Taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries, she was found to be almost twice over the legal alcohol limit.
Smith was banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay £185 in fines and court costs.
On top of that, Smith can expect a significant penalty from her motor insurance company - it may take several years before she's offered any more cheap car insurance quotes.
