You shouldn't need us to remind you that female is the more responsible gender when it comes to driving - but just in case, research from online car insurance comparison site moneysupermarket.com shows that men are twice as likely to drive without motor insurance as women are.
It's not great news that some nine percent of ladies polled admitted to driving without women's car insurance cover, but next to the 17 percent of men who owned up we look comparatively saintly!
Most people who drive uninsured do so over short distances, and often in friends' cars - thinking the risks involved are pretty slim. But Richard Mason, director of insurance at moneysupermarket.com, disagrees.
"It is simply wrong to believe you are safe driving your own or a friend's car just a short distance uninsured, since most accidents happen in residential and often familiar streets," he said.
So, come on you guilty nine percent: there's really no excuse for driving without women's car insurance.
