Woman car insurance news - Mancunians risk cheap car insurance and lives by going out in storms

Manchester Police are advising drivers to stay off city streets and motorways after high winds brought a spate of horrific accidents to the area.

Anyone using their cars during the storms runs a substantial risk to their safety and their cheap car insurance.

In one case, a woman driver on the M60 had to be rushed to hospital after a lorry in the lane next to her overbalanced and crushed her vehicle.

In the city, an aluminium panel detached itself from the side of a tower block and fell 200ft onto another woman walking below. Miraculously she escaped without serious injury when the panel struck her the legs, knocking her over.

Lee-Anne Bass, speaking on behalf of the CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the experts on cheap car insurance for women, said: "I'd need a very good reason before venturing out if I were in Manchester this week.

"Quite apart from risking my life, I've got four years' no claims bonus on my woman car insurance policy to think about," she added.
