Keep hold of your lady car insurance savings - avoid being fined

Owning a car and buying a lady car insurance policy is easy; what you need to make sure is that you don't land yourself a hefty fine for a road traffic offence. CoverGirl Car Insurance Services gives you some useful tips and tells you have to avoid receiving a penalty.

Motorists have a certain amount of responsibility to uphold on the roads and for this reason there are a number of rules put in place to ensure that the lives of others are not put at risk. If you're found to be ignoring these rules, then you could face a harsh penalty.

As the experts in lady car insurance, we know that female drivers are excellent motorists and we want to make sure that you keep hold of your woman car insurance savings. To make sure you're up to date on the various traffic offences, here's what to avoid and more importantly, how to handle the situation when stopped by the police.

Being stopped by the police
If you're pulled over by the police, you may be asked to show the following documents.

Drivers' Licence
Insurance certificate
Vehicle registration

If you don't have them with you at the time, you'll be given seven days in which to show them at your nearest police station.

Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN)
If you don't want to use your lady car insurance savings to pay a fine for a minor traffic offence, this is how to avoid it. Regularly check your car to make sure that items such as the rear lights are working correctly and when you're driving always make sure that both you and your passengers are wearing seatbelts.

Non-endorsable offence
A non-endorsable offence such as driving whilst on a mobile phone could result in a £60 fine. A fine may seem like a harsh penalty but it's a small price to pay as non-endorsable offences will not result in any points being added to your licence.

Endorsable offences
An endorsable offence is more serious, especially if you're caught driving without UK motor insurance. A road traffic offence such as this could easily see you having points added to your licence, and we all know that points on you're driving licence could increase the cost of your lady car insurance quotes.

Speeding fine
Even if you only drive a couple of miles over the limit, you could find yourself on the receiving end of a £60 fine and three points on your licence. If a driver fails to reveal the identity of the driver at the time when caught speeding, they could get a total of six points added to their licence.

Drink driving
Drink driving is a serious offence and its penalties reflect that. The minimum that you will receive if caught driving under the influence of alcohol include:

A court conviction
A driving ban of at least 12 months
An endorsement of your driving licence for at least 11 years
A criminal record

You could also be eligible to pay a fine of up to £5,000 and at least six months in prison. As you will agree, drink driving is definitely not worth the risk of losing your licence, especially when you could be endangering the lives of others.

Disqualification from driving
If, as a result of endorsable offences, you receive a total of 12 points on your licence within three years, you could have your driving licence taken away from you for up to six months. This will not only leave you in a very difficult position of finding alternative transport, but you could find that your women's car insurance will also be affected in the future.
