Ford receives number of awards

In the 2007 Reader's Digest European Trusted Brand Survey, Ford customers
voted in their thousands and made their car manufacturer the category
winner of Britain's most trusted brand.
The survey looked at different aspects of what made a great car including value for money, quality and image. With the survey covering a total of 15 countries, 30 products categories and 24,000 responses, the results prove that Ford really is a champion amongst champions.
Fleet industry awarded for Ford
At this year's Fleet World awards, Ford won the title of Van Manufacturer
of the Year, achieving the recognition that it deserves for its excellence
in production.
John Kendal, editor of Van Fleet World said, "Ford dominates the light CV market with the Transit. Over 40 years as Britain's best-selling van means that Ford has been doing something right with the transit."
The news was of no surprise to Kevin Griffin, director of fleet operations,
who added, "We aim to match closely the needs of our fleet customers and
to retain and grow our customer base."
Top security for the Ford S-MAX and Galaxy
Ford enthusiasts can feel even more secure with the latest award for top
security going to the S-Max and Galaxy.
In a survey backed by Thatcham, the Department for Transport, UK insurers and the Home Office, the S-MAX received top marks for its security features including an alarm, remote control deadlock, engine immobiliser and highly visible VIN numbers.
Steve Adams, Ford's vehicle line director for large and luxury cars said, "We consider security to be a paramount importance and we are thrilled that the S-MAX and Galaxy have won the top two positions of these prestigious accolade. This award is testament to the great effort and dedication of our security engineers, but the real winners are our customers."
Mondeo wins allergy approval
Even more Ford customers will be able to keep hold of their Ford car insurance
savings rather than spending them on allergy relief medicine, with a total
of five vehicles being awarded allergy approval. The new Mondeo was given
an "Allergy Tested Interior" seal of approval by the German TÜV Rhineland
group earlier this year, just weeks before Britain's National Allergy
Week in May.
Along with the Ford Focus, C-MAX, Galaxy and S-Max, the new Mondeo has been welcomed with open arms by Ford car insurance customers who suffer from allergies.
Speaking about the successful approval, Dr Wolfgang Schneider, for Ford of Europe said, "We are very proud to receive this TÜV approval and consider it confirmation from a highly-respected organisation of the high quality standards of our vehicles. "
