What's the harm in a little flirting on the roads?

Have you ever flirted with somebody whilst being behind the wheel of your Ford Fiesta? Some might say that we women use our flirtatious techniques to get ahead on the roads but others suggest we use them to meet potential boyfriends. Whatever the reason, flirting at the wheel can easily brighten up any woman's day.

Having the natural ability to flirt whilst on the roads might not be a question that'll pop up when applying for your next lady insurance quote but there's no denying that a longing look into the eyes of a male driver could speed up your journey, especially if you're trying to leave an exit on busy junction.

But it's not all about getting ahead of the game, the roads can be a fun place to meet other people. To back this notion up, a recent study found that thirty-five percent of men were willing to try their luck from behind the wheel; some may have even gone as far as to exchange their mobile number at a set of traffic lights. In contrast to this, female motorists came out a little shy in the study with only seventeen percent of women car insurance customers seeking out Mr Right on the motorways.

The same study also found that owners of purple cars were the most flirtatious drivers in the UK. So, just as the colour and size of your car might affect your lady insurance, it could also make a huge different to your love life. But really, whether a car that looks like a giant aubergine is actually attractive is somewhat debatable.

Jokes aside, with the explosion of dating websites it makes sense that somebody would create a service to meet the demands of road users who have seen a good looking driver on their way to work and have been unable to stop thinking about them all day long. One website in particular, http://www.datemyplate.com, offers people the chance to search thousands of registered number plates to find that one special person that's caught their attention that morning. The website operates in the US, Europe, New Zealand and Australia and helps millions of lady insurance customers put the savings from their cheap policies towards buying a new outfit for their first date.

But after all this romancing, what do couples do when the fire of their desires has distinguished and there's a need to put a little something back into their love lives? Well, for one thing, any couples thinking of getting fresh should never think about pulling their vehicle over on to the hard shoulder for a little freak-on.

Thousands of romanticising couples have been caught on CCTV cameras around the UK and a huge amounts of embarrassing footage has been screened on traffic cop documentaries for our pleasure; there's nothing funnier than watching a clip of two people trying to get cosy in the back seat of their car.

In America, love-sick couples caught in the act might try and worm they way out of trouble by using a little flirting. A study in the US found that a number of female motorists not only flirted with male drivers but when caught in a sticky situation with the law, tried to help the situation by flirting with police officers. Not that many female drivers in the UK would ever be pulled over by police for bad driving but flirting with police officers is definitely not something I would recommend.

The UK roads can be hell to drive on sometimes so thank goodness we have a little flirting in our days to look forward to. Female drivers already know how to handle to the pressures of traffic jams and speedy hoodlums - that's why they have affordable lady insurance, but soon enough, and with each new day, they'll be dealing with flocks of desirable male motorists to distract them on the roads. However will they cope!
