It seems that despite there being a bigger bill attached to car insurance for women and men for larger vehicles, this has not stopped the increasing demand for them in the UK.
Parents can sometimes feel they have become chauffeurs for their children as they drive them all over town for events such as parties or after-school activities and this appears to be having an effect on the size of vehicles being purchased across the country.
The multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) has now become one of the favourite choices for parents according to an industry body – throughout recent years there has been a steady upturn in the number purchased.
The company feels that despite there being a more expensive car insurance quote attached, families would still prefer to have a comfortable and spacious automobile.
The managing director of the industry body noted that the recent high demand for MVPs comes at a time when road tax is also set to increase for bigger cars.
Motorists are still urged to find a vehicle that is within their price range and not to opt for a vehicle which has more features and space than is necessary.
