You might already have a cheap deal on your women's car insurance, but you could be getting it even cheaper, according to Sainsbury's.
The supermarket giant claims that women drivers are becoming complacent because they are saving far more money than men, and so are not looking around to increase their savings further.
As we all know, women's car insurance is cheaper because us girls are involved in less accidents and so make fewer claims. This alone makes the average difference between men's and women's premiums £61. But by shopping around, savings of as much as £140 can be made.
Will Blackett, Sainsbury's motor insurance manager, said, "Women motorists need to be aware that savings can vary dramatically and should seek a range of quotes- not just from their existing insurer or women only policies.
"When purchasing car insurance, all motorists should shop around to not only find a competitive quote but also excellent cover. Competition in the car insurance industry is intense which means not all policies offer similar levels of cover. It is, however, possible to find quality cover at a competitive rate."
