British women drivers are being warned about bag snatches following a series of thefts in Sydney, Australia.
Although in the UK, car insurance is normally cheap for ladies, their trusty handbag could make them more vulnerable to thieves, especially when parked at traffic lights.
Although some motor insurance companies offer handbag cover, some don't, and therefore ladies could be left out of pocket after a theft.
One female driver who had her bag stolen, spoke out about her experience and said: "I heard the car's passenger door open and I realised what was about to happen.I felt extremely violated. I was screaming and shaking."
A spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the experts in UK car insurance said: "We ladies usually get in our cars and put our handbags on the passenger seat, although this can be a real attraction to thieves.
"The next time you step in your vehicle, put your bag behind the driver's seat and out of sight from potential criminals. You may also want to check your women's car insurance policy to see if you're covered for handbag losses."
