Female drivers who decide to take a little more time this year searching the web for their car insurance for women will not be alone, according to Swinton insurance services, as internet users are now spending an average of two hours to find the right online policy.
From a poll of 1,000 internet car insurance buyers, the motor cover providers found that most customers are taking more time to decide which car insurance quote to go for than they did in 2008.
In May 2008, it took an average of one and a half hours to make a decision and this is the first time in five years that drivers have spent longer in buying their car insurance product.
It was reported that in recent years the average time it took online shoppers to make a purchase dropped each year by between five and fifteen minutes, but the newest figures see a change, with more deliberation being made possibly as a result of financial worries caused by the recession.
A spokeswoman for CoverGirl, commented, "By choosing a specialist online car insurance provider such as CoverGirl, you know you will be offered the best rates possible.
"However, just like any other major purchase, buying your car insurance for women needs careful consideration and all policy buyers should take time to make sure the product they are buying is exactly what they require."
