CoverGirl, the car insurance for women specialists, strive to obtain cheap car insurance for their female driver customers. However, cover will only remain valid if proper documentation for cars is maintained.
According to Kwik-Fit, the car parts fitting company, as many as two million motorists will be facing a fresh car ownership experience this year as they face the MOT inspection test for the first time.
Figures relating to the economic downturn have revealed that approximately two million car owners will have to pursue an MOT certificate for the first time as they delay changing their vehicle in a bid to save money.
Many drivers, who have previously sold or exchanged their vehicle as it approaches its third year on the road, consequently missing the requirement for an MOT, will now have to make test appointments and go through what many owners already accept as an annual motoring chore.
A recent report from AutoTrader revealed that 10% of the drivers they questioned were prepared to wait until after the MOT due date before they booked their car in for its inspection and almost 51% of motorists were concerned about affording repairs after a failed MOT inspection. The survey also found that 32% of motorists who had a problem with their car at the time, were putting off getting it repaired.
Auto Trader marketing director, Matt Thompson, said, "It is extremely worrying that nearly half of all UK motorists are prepared to drive around in an unroadworthy vehicle to try and save money during these difficult times."
Car insurance for women is kept low because female drivers are statistically safer than men; however, driving a car without an up-to-date MOT certificate can invalidate your motor cover.
