A female driver will have to claim on her car insurance for women after a single-vehicle accident in Long Ditton, Surrey left her car upturned in the road only yards from where a man was killed only three months earlier.
The young woman, who has not been identified, had been wearing a seat belt as she drove down the residential street, but when her Mercedes hit a parked car it flipped, landing on its roof. She was left hanging inside the vehicle and was taken to hospital where her injuries were found not to be serious.
A local resident commented, "Although there is no suggestion that high speed was involved in this incident, the police are going to have to do something to crack down on the absurd speeds of vehicles racing down this road, especially late at night."
Long Ditton Councillor Barry Fairbank, said, "Following this, maybe there should be more pressure to do something about that junction."
If the female driver is found to be at fault in this road traffic accident her car insurance for women costs are likely to increase greatly as a result of motoring convictions and endorsements that could be issued to her.
