A 23-year-old woman from Carlisle is going to have problems finding cheap car insurance for women after committing several motoring offences.
Stacey Sullivan admitted driving while disqualified, driving without motor insurance and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
The offences took place on November 11th 2006, after she and two other women visited the Carlisle Asda store. The police were called to the store regarding reports of the ladies becoming abusive after staff refused to serve them alcohol.
However, as the police approached the store, they noticed a blue Vauxhall Corsa being driven erratically in a nearby street. They found Ms Sullivan behind the wheel and breathalysed her.
Although she was not over the alcohol limit for driving, a blood test revealed that she had very high levels of Diazepam in her system.
Magistrates told Ms Sullivan at a recent hearing that she may be looking at a prison sentence for her behaviour.
Once Ms Sullivan's driving ban is lifted, it will be very difficult for her to find car insurance for women at a reasonable price until her motoring convictions have been spent.
