Racing driver makes history winning in Japan

Cheaper car insurance for women is sure to be helped by the news that a female racing car driver is making history in the US Indy Car series.

Danica Patrick recently rewrote the history books by winning at the Japan 300 race, beating Helio Castroneves of Brazil and Scott Dixon of New Zealand into second and third place respectively.

In this car racing series women compete in their rightful place as equals with the male drivers and Danica is showing that this is just how it should be.

It has been reported that Danica could make a move over to Formula One racing cars in the future, but at the moment she is set on winning an IndyCar title before seriously considering the tryout.

Yesterday, Danica clocked the ninth fastest time out of the 31 drivers in practice for the 92nd Indianapolis 500 race to be held this Saturday. She said she was pleased with the Motorola car and felt sure that the crew would soon bring its performance up to a higher standard.

There are three women competing this season in the series. If these figures rise over the coming years, this can only be good news in terms of car insurance for women as more female drivers illustrate driving skills to equal or better their male counterparts.
