New research carried out by Confused.com suggests that car insurance for women called Lucy could be on the increase.
Amongst male car insurance buyers, drivers called James and Daniel are most likely to flout UK road regulations as the research revealed that 31 per cent of drivers named James admitted to having received driving convictions, while 18 per cent of ‘Daniel drivers' revealed motoring misdemeanours.
In general, women were shown to be safer drivers.
Confused.com's head of motor insurance said, "On average, a driver with three points will see premiums leap seven per cent, rising to 25 per cent for six points and 50 per cent for nine points."
So, female motorists called Lucy beware, as six per cent of your namesakes have received a conviction for driving offences, making them the most likely group of ladies to see an increase in their car insurance for women.
