A terrifying assault by balaclava-clad attackers on a middle aged woman driver in an English county has today prompted a car insurance company to urge UK female motorists to be vigilant.
In a car jack-style incident, the woman was driving the morning commute to work in Warwickshire when assailants dragged her out of her vehicle, a VW Golf.
Said to be driving a black Mercedes, the modern-day highwaymen forced her to stop while motoring in front of her. As they pulled her from the VW Golf, she fell down. She was "badly shaken", it was reported.
CoverGirl, a women's car insurance company, said, "Women should watch out for suspiciously acting black Mercedes cars, and the police said the males involved were white between 24 and 28 years old - two dragged her out and took her car, a third drove off in the Mercedes."
