Ladies' car insurance news

Cheap car insurance firm investigates breakdown worries

Research by a cheap car insurance company has shown that ladies are most afraid of breaking down on country roads.

The study, carried out by M&S Car Insurance, investigated the UK drivers' biggest breakdown worries.

The motor insurance provider's results showed that 40% of ladies think breaking down in a remote location would cause them the most anxiety.

On the other hand, most male drivers nominated a roundabout as being the worst place to break down due to the inconvenience and danger of an accident.

However, both male and female drivers agree that being unable to telephone for help would be the worst possible situation.

A spokesperson for the cheap car insurance company said: "These results show how, even in the most vulnerable situations, people need to feel in control. It may seem obvious, but doing a quick check for your phone before you get in the car will ensure you have the means to make a call."
