Picture it, you've got your cheap car insurance for women from CoverGirl, you've saved loads of money and you want to celebrate with your mates by taking a sunshine filled drive in the country. However, within moments your car is filled with the noxious emissions from a nearby pig farm or local sewage plant – yeuch - and no amount of Paris Hilton's Fairy Dust is going to evade the scenario of everyone thinking, "Who did that?!"
Well, the brainiacs at Nissan have invented an air-con system that can detect bad odours and eliminate them from your car via the release of leafy ‘forest' smells created by essential oils.
The highly advanced system, developed in Japan, is able to detect the presence of outside aromas and when it comes across an unpleasant one, it closes the air intake vents.
According to a Nissan spokesperson the Forest AC system then pumps the pleasant smell into the cabin to, "recreate the refreshing climate, fragrance and natural breezes of relaxing forest settings."
"The system utilises an automatic intake control system, coupled to multiple wide-range, highly sensitive micro-sensors, to prevent the inflow of unpleasant air into the cabin, "he continued.
"The system includes the world's first sensor system for detecting various other odours, such as from animals, from outside the vehicle.
"It will then start opening or closing the intake vents as needed without constant driver input."
A spokesperson for CoverGirl, specialist provider of cheap car insurance for women, said, "The new air-con system will be available on the Nissan Fuga saloon car later in the year that will go on sale in Japan. However, we feel it will certainly be a hit in the UK as well."
