Motorists urged to take out cheap car insurance
Motorists without cheap car insurance could be in for a nasty shock when a new database is introduced in 2009.
Online reports have said that a huge number of drivers, trying to avoid the cost of cheap car insurance, could be at risk from a new database which will work with the Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency to track vehicle owners.
With there being so many different ways to make a saving on UK motor insurance, it's surprising that so many people continue to drive without any protection.
Any motorist caught without motor insurance could be at risk from having their vehicle seized by police.
A spokesperson for the cheap car insurance provider, CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, said: "Of course everybody should have car insurance. If a new database aims to reduce the number of people driving uninsured, it can only be seen as a positive thing."
