Too many female motorists are driving around in dirty cars, according to research by LV=.
Despite young ladies knowing how to get a good deal on their cheap car insurance, it appears that some are a little complacent when it comes to keeping their cars clean.
The latest research from LV= found that 13% of British motorists are embarrassed about the state of their cars with 28% admitting that they would be better drivers if their vehicles were clutter free.
A motor spokesperson for the cheap car insurance company said: "Keeping loose items in the car could lead to avoidable accidents such as rubbish getting trapped under the pedals whilst you are driving. Not to mention the fact that items such as mp3 players, clothes and sunglasses may attract all sorts of unwanted attention that could put your car at risk of theft."
Commenting on the story, a spokesperson for the online motor insurance experts, CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, said: "It's very important that female drivers keep their cars tidy. If they were to have an accident because of the clutter, they could easily lose their great deals on car insurance."
