Older female drivers in Suffolk who want to keep on enjoying cheap car insurance for women rates can help by brushing up on their driving skills.
A series of sessions for mature drivers is being arranged by county council road safety officers in order to reduce the number of accidents on Suffolk roads.
County statistics show that, in 2006, drivers aged over 64 caused more than 30 accidents in which someone was seriously injured or killed.
Guy McGregor, who is involved in the course, said: "Mature drivers have a wealth of experience on the roads but driving is much more complex and demanding than it used to be.
"We are keen to help older people maintain their travelling independence by encouraging them to check their road user skills with these experts."
The officers will be visiting a number of towns, including Stowmarket, Lowestoft, Southwold, Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds, throughout February and March.
