For ladies, car insurance at great prices is usually pretty easy to come by. However, accidents caused by ill-maintained vehicles put an end to this for many women in the UK each year.
However, a mechanics and maintenance course based in Rugby, Warwickshire is giving girls the chance to prevent a costly claim on their ladies car insurance by learning more about their cars.
The course, run by TW Tyres, is aimed specifically at women drivers in the area who want to learn more about keeping their car in good condition and what to do if something goes wrong.
Nathalie Furner, general manager of TW Tyres, explained: "We're covering everyday scenarios like how to change a tyre, how to check the tyre tread depth and pressure, and how to check oil levels and water levels - things we all really ought to know, but often don't."
Lee-Anne Bass of the female motor insurance firm CoverGirl Car Insurance Services said: "Girls - if you don't know much about cars, this kind of course is great for learning the basics."
