A single mother from Barrow-in-Furness stands to lose more than her cheap car insurance if witnesses to a crash that wrecked her car do not come forward.
The woman claims she wasn't responsible for the accident, which took place last December as she was driving to work.
However, without the testimony of two other ladies who she says witnessed the crash, the unfortunate woman can't prove to her motor insurance firm that she was not at fault.
If they don't come forward she'll be left with just half the value of her £900 Citroen AX, and no chance of recouping a £1,000 bill for the hire car she's been driving ever since.
"The solicitors have said that if I can get witnesses then I stand every chance of full compensation," she said. "I am a working, single mother and I need a car to get to work."
"It's hard enough losing your no claims bonus and cheap car insurance in a crash that wasn't your fault, but this poor woman stands to lose a lot more" said Lee-Anne Bass, spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services.
"My heart goes out to her - I hope those witnesses come forward in time," she added.
