Not even companies specialising in car insurance for women will be able to provide the cheap motor insurance quotes one lady is used to after she was snapped by a speed camera.
However, it was not the average speed camera photo. When it was examined by the police, they quickly realised that the passenger was actually steering the car as it sped through lines of Newcastle traffic in a 30mph limit.
What is more, the passenger was actually the woman's young daughter who isn't even old enough to drive.
The female driver was given a £60 fine and three penalty points for the offence but is lucky she doesn't face any further charges. Nevertheless, she may well see the cost of her ladies' car insurance shoot up.
A spokesman for the Northumbria Safety Camera Partnership said: "This woman speeding with a child not in a seatbelt is a recipe for disaster.
"What is worse is that the driver is not in full control. Any braking or loss of control and it is likely the child would be seriously injured, or possibly killed.
"It is ridiculous that anyone would take a big risk like this, especially with a child. This behaviour is so irresponsible and illegal," he finished.
Lee-Anne Bass, spokesperson for the car insurance for women specialists at CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, said: "This lady definitely deserved the three points on her licence. Let's hope it will put her off from such dangerous behaviour in the future."
