The online car insurance company Diamond has identified four types of female driver that grace our roads and have suggested the perfect cars for each.
The company, which specialises in cheap car insurance for women, say that our roads are full of Quirky Chicks, Chic Globetrotters, Yummy Mummies and Sexy Sirens.
Quirky Chicks are the type of girls who drive Volkswagen Beetles, Smart Cars and Minis - girls who really know their likes and dislikes. These women love an individual look and are likely to be fans of the style of actress Sienna Miller.
Chic Globetrotters, on the other hand, prefer a smart, groomed look. Given the pick of any car, they would probably go for the sleek looks of an Audi TT, BMW M3 or Mercedes SLK. Followers of fashion and the latest creations from designers, these ladies admire the style of women like Charlize Theron.
Yummy Mummies love practical yet attractive clothing designs and like their cars to match. Their driveways are most likely to have a Renault Espace, Volkswagen Touran or BMW X5 parked on them so they can look good whilst taking the children to school. Jools Oliver is an icon for these ladies.
Sexy Sirens are the final group of motoring ladies. To these girls, no skirt is too short, no top too tight and no heels too high. They are likely to be the proud owner of a StreetKa, Maxda MX5 or a Peugeot 206 and idolise WAG Alex Curran.
Sian Lewis, managing director of the women's online car insurance company, commented: "We looked at the driving records for each of the groups and found that Sexy Sirens have the most accidents, and also have them more frequently than the others.
"Yummy Mummies are the safest group having the lowest amount of and least frequent accidents, which isn't surprising considering they could have their kids in the car."
