About a quarter of women would flirt with officers of the law to avoid driving licence penalties, according to a study of female motorists - and by flirting, they could keep down the cost of woman car insurance.
Apparently, some 25% of women would be prepared to be a touch amorous to try to avoid being stung with fines, penalty points or parking tickets.
Slightly wicked women, mainly younger ones according to the study, were happy to act alluring by showing a little cleavage or using coy, bewitching tactics such as batting eyelashes, it was revealed.
By exerting some felicitous female charm, the women would try to ingratiate themselves with male police officers and traffic wardens, reported the findings in a YouGov survey.
In fact, more than a third of females aged 18-24 said they would adopt such tactics, while just under two thirds of older women would point blank not consider making any kind of advance.
If their actions worked, they would avoid incurring damaging points on their driving licence and could look forward to finding cheaper car insurance.
CoverGirl woman
car insurance firm applauded women's honesty in the survey, pointing
out that in today's world, female
drivers should be careful about when to deploy womanly wiles but such
disarming tactics seemed to be an acceptable form of defence in difficult
circumstances.
