New foot pedal controls for male and female drivers

Ford car insurance prices are in the spotlight and maybe facing adjustment - like the car maker's new invention just added to two models in its fleet to make life easier for male and female drivers.

Forking out a ton - £100 in UK money - will give male and female drivers new-found comfort with the introduction of a device that could help keep down insurance accident claims.

With the flick of a switch, foot pedals on Ford C-MAX and Ford Focus cars will automatically move 5.5cm nearer to the driver seat.

With the average height of women being less than that of men, this could be a useful additional feature for female drivers - although currently the function is available only on US cars.

As well as improving comfort, drivers may be able to manoeuvre cars more safely by allowing Ford motorists to have more responsive control over their vehicles acceleration and braking.

CoverGirl, online woman car insurance specialists, provide cheap cover for many vehicle makes and models including Ford, as well as the likes of Vauxhall, BMW, VW, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota and Audi.
