Two single mothers from Michigan were delighted after they each received a free car - complete with woman car insurance policy.
Gina Jackson, 20, and Lindsey Damschroeder, 22, were presented with Kia Rios as part of the Benevolence Car Program.
The program was set up to help women from Macomb County who needed transport assistance. A list of 50 ladies who would benefit from the program's help was drawn up and narrowed down to 10, who will all receive some help from it.
However, the top two women both received a 2002 Kia Rio which had been paid for and done up by mechanics from Collex Collisions.
A spokesman from Collex Collisions said of the cars: "They each had an extreme makeoever. We're talking new brakes, new tyres, batteries, everything has been totally replaced."
The women were also given a year's-worth of woman car insurance, car seats and vouchers for fuel and oil changes.
Ms Damschroeder commented: "I've never had my own car. I have to depend on my sister and my mother. This is a complete shock for me but it's a very big help."
Lee-Anne Bass, of female driver insurance company CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, said: "It sounds like the program has made a real difference for these women.
"I thought the free motor insurance was a lovely touch," she finished.
