Research by the British School of Motoring (BSM) has revealed that video games might be a threat to women's motor insurance quotes.
The BSM carried out a survey of young male and female drivers, out of which came the findings that a third felt they would drive faster after playing a video game.
Just over a quarter also admitted that they would be more inclined to partake in risk-taking behaviour after gaming, endangering both themselves and their chance of cheap motor insurance quotes in the future.
However, there was also some news which may reassure women's car insurance companies. The researchers found fewer female drivers who would admit to pretending to be playing a motoring simulation game whilst actually behind the wheel.
A spokesperson for the BSM said: "With more than 200 young people killed each year due to speeding alone, it's crucial that they learn to 'keep it real' on the road."
