Men are more likely to kill young pedestrians compared to female driver insurance customers, a recent study has found.
The statistics have always shown that women are safer drivers but the new research by Safe Child is still just as shocking.
The findings showed that male drivers are twice as likely to kill a child pedestrian compared to a woman driver.
Speaking about the study, a manager for Safe Kids USA said: "We plan to use this data to explore their behaviours and try to reach out to young drivers to see if we can have an impact on the number of children being injured and killed."
A spokesperson for CoverGirl Car Insurance Services, the experts in female driver insurance, added: "We've always known that ladies are better behind the wheel than men but it's always sad to see the statistics, especially when they involve the lives of young children."
