A woman who crashed her car into a house whilst over the drink drive limit will likely find locating any cheap car insurance quotes a struggle once her disqualification has run.
The 24-year-old female driver, from Crowland, Spalding, lost control on a bend after having lunch and some drinks in a pub.
She crashed into a young family's house, but fortunately did not injure anyone inside, although she herself was taken to Peterborough District Hospital.
When breathalysed, she was found to have 55mg/100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 37mg/100ml.
Following the accident, she was charged with driving without motor insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and drink driving, although the former two charges were withdrawn.
Spalding magistrates disqualified her from driving for a year, fined her £100 and ordered her to pay £60 in court costs.
However, it is likely that she will see further financial penalties when she comes to getting car insurance quotes after her period of disqualification.
