Cheap car insurance even unlikelier for Jade Goody after ban

Jade Goody is unlikely to see any cheap car insurance quotes when she is allowed back behind the wheel after being convicted of a number of driving offences.

The ex-Big Brother participant was spotted driving by police in Brentwood without motor insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence in March 2007.

These driving offences come after police caught her driving on a motorway in November 2006, when she only had a provisional licence.

The magistrates' chairman at Basildon Magistrates' Court gave her 14 penalty points which amount to a driving ban of six months, as well as a sizeable fine of £1,500.

She admitted the offences, but her defence explained that the situation had come about because she had mistakenly cancelled her cheap car insurance policy instead of her home insurance policy.
