Drink-driving statistics have shown that more and more ladies are putting pounds on their woman car insurance prices by getting behind the wheel whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Liberal Democrat statistics quoted in the Daily Mail revealed that since 1995, there has been a 58% increase in the number of ladies caught driving while over the drink drive limit.
This is equivalent to 4,000 more females who will have seen the cost of their woman car insurance rocket after being convicted.
The transport spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats commented: "Instead of focusing drink-driving campaigns only on men, these figures show that women also need to be targeted."
However, the statistics do show that the campaigns are having a positive effect on the number of men who have thrown away their chance of cheap motor insurance by drink driving, with around 200 fewer men being convicted of drink driving over the same period.
