A crackdown in Hampshire on drink driving could help many drivers keep hold of their cheap motor insurance quotes.
Police offices in Hampshire are urging people to drive responsibly over the Christmas period to reduce the risk of being involved in a road accident - something that could severely increase the cost of motorists' car insurance in the future.
The campaign has been launched at the same time of the national Think! Road Safety Campaign, which aims to educated drivers between the ages of 17 and 29 about the consequences of driving dangerously.
During the same campaign last Christmas, Hampshire police breathalysed 5,916 motorists. In total, 374 of those motorists were arrested after their tests proved positive or they refused to take a test.
Anybody caught drink driving this Christmas could easily say goodbye to their cheap motor insurance quotes in the future as UK car insurance companies will consider them to be a greater risk.
