A 35-year-old woman from Oxford County is unlikely to see any cheap car insurance quotes in the near future after leading police on a dramatic car chase.
The chase began in Norfolk when police were called out to take a look at a suspicious car. However, the female driver accelerated away from the scene as the police arrived, prompting them to give chase.
Despite repeated requests for her to pull over, she sped away. Her car was eventually brought to a halt when police threw a spike belt into the road, but the lady driver was still intent on escape.
She attempted to make off on foot but was quickly apprehended by police, who charged her with dangerous driving and flight from police.
If she is convicted of dangerous driving, she may well lose any chance she had of getting a cheap car insurance deal, as motor insurance companies will consider her a much higher risk than the average woman driver.
