An unusual 'drink drive' incident in the city of Linden, Michigan caused hours of delays for commuters and cost the woman responsible her chance of a cheap car insurance quote.
However, alcohol wasn't responsible for her car striking a utility pole and damaging a nearby shop front. In fact, the woman simply choked on a beverage as she was driving along, causing her to lose control.
The utility pole required specialist attention and took many hours to fix, bringing local traffic to a standstill.
The extent of damage caused in the crash will likely make it impossible for the woman to find a cheap car insurance quote in the near future, even from a specialist women car insurance firm.
