Welsh thrillseekers risk online car insurance
Speeding motorists in Wales looking to get their five minutes of fame on the internet are seriously putting their online car insurance at risk.
Road safety experts in North Wales have raised concerns over the number of young drivers who are shown to be performing dangerous stunts in their cars on the popular website YouTube.
Some of the videos feature motorists racing each other along the A55 and showing off their motoring skills in small car parks in Rhyl.
A local driving instructor commented on the story and said: "Because of YouTube, people are able to get their face on the internet and so they try to make more dangerous situations so more people will view it."
A spokesman for the Institute of Advanced Motorists commented about the dangerous situation young motor insurance customers are putting themselves in and said: "[They]. have the wrong attitude and choose to get their kicks from driving fast and dangerously."
If any of the people featured in the video clips were ever caught speeding or even worse, involved in a road accident, they could find that their cheap car insurance will be severely affected. In the future they may have to search around for the best online car insurance quotes.
